23-year-old Sunshine Coast local singer/songwriter Emma Tomlinson accompanies herself with piano, uniquely blending multi-genres into indie-classical/crossover due to operetta training as a soprano and Belcanto technique. With numerous appearances on the national stage representing inclusivity and diversity as AUTISM QLD’S formal ambassador in the Creative Industries, she conveys the lyric messages of rising above bullying trauma, difference and exclusion therefore CLOSING the gap through the medium of song and visual art. Her latest single “SOUR HEART” on Spotify is an electric-pop style piece illustrating positivity and empowerment around being a young female artist on the autism spectrum received radio airplay on 4zzz, RRR, ABC & iView landing her among the top 10 female artists of Feb 2023 and featuring as guest artist in May on 91.7 “Live and Local Sessions”. Accompanied by ARIA guitarist and former band member/founder “The Church” Peter Koppes and First Nation Artist/Musician Tio Kurun Warun a Guntijamara man.
