FLASKAS

Debuting on New Year’s Eve 2016, Flaskas have evolved into one of Australia’s most exciting live acts – sharing the stage with luminaries such as Ash Grunwald, Boy & Bear, Tijuana Cartel, The Black Sorrows and many more. Their latest single, Paradise continues their musical tradition of Earth Rock: an organic blend of alternative world, coastal and Indigenous music that fuses the high-powered spirits of roots, Rock, funk, folk and blues. Set in motion by singer-songwriter Chris Flaskas, Earth Rock delivers thoughtful, philosophical lyrics in an orchestration of contemporary and native Australian instruments. The band’s debut album Kingdom Come spawned two incredible singles that found a welcome reception on MTV, Triple J, and over 50 radio stations worldwide. Propelled by the chemistry between Chris Flaskas, percussionist Duncan Barker, bassist Jasper Lambert and guitarist Marcus Lay, the band embarked on what was to be a solid few years of touring. Within those few years they have become a formidable live act capable of standing shoulder-to-shoulder with any band in the world – earning their place on Sea N Sound festival, Caloundra Music Festival, Horizon Festival, Ocean Street World Festival, Airlie Beach Music Festival, Agnes Blues Roots & Rock Fest, Mitchel Creek Rock n Blues Festival (Headlined), Noosa Festival of Surfing, Airwaves Festival, Caloundra Music Festival, headlined the Commonwealth Games Welcoming Ceremony as well as winning the 2019 Sunshine Coast Passport To Airlie Beach Battle of the Bands Competition. The largest band competition in Australia. The sound, ideology and energy of Earth Rock has found its audience. Globally conscious, with a distinctly Australian heart, Flaskas personify the new vanguard of artists whose work forges an unbreakable connection between our planet and the diversity of people who call it home.
