Forrest Run

Bringing together a brilliant blend of flowing organic sounds with gritty electronica, Forrest Run’s bouncy, effervescent pop is laced with dark mystery. Pushing out a sound bigger than acts twice their size, this quirky trio layout atmospheric beds under massive hiphop beats, with vocalist Ayla’s saccharine melodies being the cherry on top. Forrest Run started strong in 2019, with the release of a self-titled debut EP, supporting East Coast tour, headline at Caloundra Music Festival’s Friday night stage – and a support spot for Boo Seeka to boot. Lead single from this release ‘Summer’ was a collaboration with Sam Cromack (Ball Park Music), and landed on Mood Media playlist – still being played in stores across the country. The debut release from Forrest Run’s sophomore EP, ‘Leave the Lights’, landed rotation on 91.9 SeaFM, and was supported with a second East Coast tour.
Forrest Run have kicked off 2021 by releasing singles ‘Dream’ and ‘Bright Eyes’, and are set to drop their personal favourite track to date’ Never Go Back’, along with their sophomore EP ‘Still Running’ – all the day before playing triple j supported Big Pineapple Music Festival. We have heard the future of electronic hip-pop, and that sound is Forrest Run.
