Welcome
Acknowledgement of Country
Caloundra Music Festival acknowledges the Sunshine Coast Country, home of the Kabi Kabi and the Jinibara peoples, the Traditional Custodians, whose lands and waters we all now share.
We recognise that these have always been places of cultural, spiritual, social and economic significance. The Traditional Custodians’ unique values, and ancient and enduring cultures, deepen and enrich the life of our community.
We wish to pay respect to their Elders – past, present and emerging, and acknowledge the important role First Nations people continue to play within the Sunshine Coast community.

The Hon. Stirling Hinchliffe MP
Welcome to Caloundra Music Festival, a highlight on the It’s Live in Queensland events calendar and a wonderful opportunity to showcase Sunshine Coast as a tourism destination.
The Sunshine Coast community is grateful to welcome visitors who fill their cafes and restaurants, stay in their accommodation, use local transport and explore our unique tourism experiences.
That’s why we support events through Tourism and Events Queensland’s Destination Events Program because they bring a welcomed boost to the local community and supports local jobs.
Events like the Caloundra Music Festival allows friends and family to reconnect and creates community pride. We hope you enjoy your stay and return again in the near future.
Be sure to immerse yourself in the local culture and get the opportunity to explore some of our world-class tourism experiences in this beautiful region.

WELCOME MESSAGE
CALOUNDRA MUSIC FESTIVAL
Awarded the title of People’s Choice – Festival of the Year at the Queensland Music Awards earlier this year, the Sunshine Coast Council is proud to deliver the Caloundra Music Festival with significant support from our local event industry and business community.
Council recognises that the arts are an important part of our social fabric and economy, with investment in the arts continuing to grow, and more broadly our residents and visitors seeking out more cultural events like this.
The festival provides a platform for musicians to shine and showcase their creativity in a spectacular beachside location that continues to draw international acts and award-winning Australian artists to the stage.
If you are visiting our Sunshine Coast for the event, I encourage you to take the time to explore our region further and all it has to offer. From our beautiful hinterland and magnificent mountains to our pristine beaches, variety of attractions, shopping and markets and an abundance of places to stay, the opportunities are endless.
The Sunshine Coast’s status as a UNESCO biosphere demonstrates globally that we are a community wanting to live in harmony with our environment.
One of the festival objectives is to be a leader in embracing our Sunshine Coast’s high-quality environment and way of life, aiming to become the region’s first net zero music event by 2027. Various initiatives introduced over the years include ‘BYO H20 Water Bottle’, re-useable wine glasses, on-site waste sorting and this year, providing FREE public transport to encourage eco-friendly travel to and from the festival.
Our region is proud of its biosphere designation, and we will continue to celebrate the supportive co-existence of people and nature.
The Caloundra Music Festival is a signature event we are proud to host at Kings Beach, Caloundra, and I would like to thank all the volunteers and sponsors for their efforts in making our music festival a highlight on the Sunshine Coast’s annual events calendar.
MAYOR MARK JAMIESON,
SUNSHINE COAST COUNCIL.
